The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is seeking two 2nd violin tutti.
The audition will take place at the Concert Hall Stockholm on March 30-31, 2026, by personal invitation.
Applications including recordings must be submitted to Muvac by February 6 via this link
Digital round – mandatory repertoire:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No. 3, 4, or 5 – first movement up to the bracket according to the attached booklet, without cadenza
Richard Strauss Don Juan (excerpts for violin I, see attached booklet)
Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 1, movement II (excerpts for violin II, see attached booklet)
The specified bowings and fingerings are not mandatory; it is acceptable to use your own bowings and fingerings. The Mozart concerto can be recorded with or without piano accompaniment.
A complete list of the repertoire for the audition on March 30-31 will be announced along with the invitation. It will include Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3, 4, or 5 (first movement exposition with cadenza), a romantic standard concerto (first movement), and orchestral and ensemble excerpts.
